MOSCOW, September 7 (RIA Novosti) - More than 600,000 homes in Michigan and Illinois were left without power after heavy winds and lightning ripped through the northwestern US, killing at least two people, Reuters reported Saturday.
A woman from Illinois died after sustaining heavy injuries from a falling tree, while a Michigan man was electrocuted after coming into contact with a power line, according to Reuters.
The storm hit the Northeast on Friday, bringing heavy winds and lightning, ripping up trees, downing power lines.
