Moscow mourns International Information Agency Rossiya Segodnya photojournalist Andrei Stenin, who was killed while covering the war in Ukraine. Stenin did everything possible for the world to see the truth about the tragic events in southeastern Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a telegram to the journalist’s mother.

Andrei Stenin were buried at Troyekurovsky Cemetery in Moscow, near the graves of TV reporters Igor Kornelyuk, Anton Voloshin and Anatoly Klyan, who were also killed while covering the events in Ukraine. MIA Rossiya Segodnya special photographer Vladimir Vyatkin, who has worked for the agency since 1968, called Stenin's pictures from Ukraine's front lines very professional.
