MOSCOW, August 7 (RIA Novosti) - About 45 percent of Russian enterprises are ready to invest money in specialized cybersecurity solutions in order to protect data on financial operations, according to the survey conducted by B2B International and Kaspersky Lab.

Five percent of respondents thought that the price of cybersecurity solutions does not matter, as the safety of the payment information and financial data is their company’s top priority. Forty-one percent of Russian companies said that ensuring security of this data is among the top IT management priorities for the next year.

Almost half of the respondents believe that the financial information on their servers needs additional protection. The larger the company, the more ready it is to pay for the most advanced IT technologies. Thirty-seven percent of small businesses are ready to pay for cyber security, compared to 51 percent of large businesses, which expressed a willingness to pay extra for data security.

Often financial data stored on companies’ servers becomes the target of cyber thieves. Thirty-two percent of Russian organizations that have been victim to cyber attacks confirmed that their financial operations data has been stolen.

The research was conducted in June 2014 among 3,900 IT professionals from 27 different countries, including Russia.
