MOSCOW, August 6 (RIA Novosti) - Low-cost Russian airline Dobrolet signed a deal with Boeing for 16 Boeing 737-800 aircraft to be delivered in 2016-2017, Dobrolet’s Director General Andrei Kalmykov told RIA Novosti Wednesday.

Kalmykov did not reveal the contract price, but according to the official Boeing price list, the aircraft cost about $90 million each.

Dobrolet is also currently in talks with Asian leasing companies that may be able to provide the company with aircraft so that Dobrolet can resume its operations.

Dobrolet, Aeroflot’s low-cost subsidiary, has had to temporarily suspend all flights since Monday after being included on the EU sanctions list unveiled in late July, due to its provision flights to the former Ukrainian republic of Crimea.

Dobrolet’s European partners canceled aircraft lease agreements, as well as agreements on maintenance and insurance.
