Moscow has no grounds to believe that any manipulations have been conducted during the deciphering of the Boeing black boxes and Russia is not politicizing the issue that they have been sent to the UK for analysis, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told Rossiya Segodnya International News Agency Monday.

MOSCOW, July 28 (RIA Novosti) – Moscow has no grounds to believe that any manipulations have been conducted during the deciphering of the Boeing black boxes and Russia is not politicizing the issue that they have been sent to the UK for analysis, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told Rossiya Segodnya International News Agency Monday.

“We are not seeking to consider each episode [of investigation] in a political aspect. We have no prejudice what experts or specialists may deal with this issue,” Ryabkov said.

Russia insists that the investigation is carried out under the auspices of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Ryabkov said.

“Our representatives have been included in a relative group. Our main goal is to establish the truth. Yet we have no grounds to believe that any manipulations are going on or there are any manipulations over the whole process” Rybkov said.

The Russian diplomat stressed that the incident is a terrible tragedy and Russia is as interested as anyone or “even more” in “finding out the truth.”

“That’s why we expect that in cooperation with the British and the Dutch, and the Malaysian side, with which we has a substantive dialogue on the issue since the beginning, under the auspices of the ICAO we will be able to go through the investigation phase till the end,” Ryabkov said.

Malaysia Airlines MH17 en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur crashed in eastern Ukraine on July 17. All 298 people on board, including 192 Dutch nationals, died in the crash.

The plane’s two black boxes were recovered by Ukrainian independence supporters from the crashed Boeing and given to Malaysian authorities last week. They were then sent to the UK for a comprehensive analysis.

Kiev authorities and independence supporters have been trading blame for the downing of the plane, with independence supporters insisting they lacked the technology to shoot down a target flying at an altitude of nearly 33,000 feet.
