More than 90 civilians have died in Luhansk in eastern Ukraine since early July as a result of military actions, the city council said Monday.

LUHANSK, July 28 (RIA Novosti) – More than 90 civilians have died in Luhansk in eastern Ukraine since early July as a result of military actions, the city council said Monday.

“Since the start of active military actions in Luhansk, a total of 93 people have been killed,” the council said in a statement.

The Luhansk authorities said that over 400 people have been wounded since the start of this month. Almost 100 residential buildings and private houses have been damaged.

The attacks have also damaged over 20 schools and 21 kindergartens.

According to the recent UN report, a total of 1,129 civilians have been killed and more than 3,000 wounded in Ukraine since the beginning of the special operation in mid-April.

Russia has repeatedly condemned Kiev’s actions and urged for an immediate end to the punitive operation, advocating a peaceful resolution to the crisis in the region.
