MOSCOW, June 17 (RIA Novosti) - The Rossiya Segodnya international news agency expresses its deepest condolences to the family of Igor Kornelyuk, a journalist from the Russian state-run VGTRK television news station, who died of injuries suffered during a mortar attack outside the eastern Ukrainian city of Luhansk on Tuesday.
This is a real tragedy. Our colleague died performing his journalistic duty, working in difficult war-like conditions in Ukraine. We grieve together with his family and friends, and our friends and colleagues at VGTRK.
Today has turned black not only for you, but also for each of us, for all Russian journalists. Igor's death should be investigated, the culprits should be found, tried and punished.
