The Center for International Journalism and Research, a strategic research and education unit founded by the International Information Agency Rossiya Segodnya, invites international experts to join in research and educational activities to broaden the foundation of knowledge about current international affairs.
The center is responsible for developing in-depth analysis of critical international developments and providing an array of journalistic and educational initiatives for the domestic and international audience of Rossiya Segodnya. Its educational activities include analytical news stories and other textual materials, interviews, briefings, lectures, seminars, conferences and background material for documentaries.
The center also provides training in the methodologies of investigative journalism, led by some of the most experienced professional journalists and researchers among its domestic and international staff.
The center works with the senior news staff of Rossiya Segodnya to ensure that the opinions and articles of some of the most insightful reporters and think tanks in the world today receive the kind of international coverage necessary to guarantee that freedom of expression is ensured not just in theory, but in practice, especially for perspectives that differ from those dominating much of Western mainstream media.
