MOSCOW, November 8 (RIA Novosti) – A Russian nationalist leader suspected of involvement in a string of high-profile killings has been extradited from Serbia to Russia, investigators said Friday.

The Investigative Committee says Ilya Goryachev, a founder of a group called Militant Organization of Russian Nationalists, or BORN in its Russian acronym, faces charges including murder, arms trafficking and creation of a criminal conspiracy.

Investigators accuse Goryachev of involvement in a series of high-profile killings carried out by BORN, including the murder in 2009 of lawyer Stanislav Markelov and Novaya Gazeta reporter Anastasia Baburova.

Two nationalists were convicted of the murder in 2011.

He is also suspected of playing a role in other highly publicized attacks, including the murders of anti-racist activists Fyodor Filatov and Ilya Japaridze.
