MOSCOW, September 7 (RIA Novosti) – A business jet with 10 people on board belly-landed safely at Moscow’s Vnukovo airport Saturday evening after its undercarriage failed to lower for landing, an emergency services source said.
“The aircraft, flying from Naples, landed on its belly on a runway coated in foam. No-one was hurt,” the source said.
The Challenger 100 aircraft had three crew and seven passengers on board. It had spent some time circling the runway to burn off fuel before attempting to land, the source said.
