Lewis Hamilton snagged his fourth pole position in a row on Saturday by battling to the top of the timesheets in qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix.

MOSCOW, August 24 (R-Sport) - Lewis Hamilton snagged his fourth pole position in a row on Saturday by battling to the top of the timesheets in qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix.

The Mercedes driver, a winner at Spa for McLaren in 2010, top spot at the death from championship leader Sebastian Vettel, recording a winning time of 2:01.012.

Vettel is on the front row with the Briton after eclipsing his Red Bull teammate Mark Webber in a searing last lap of his own, but the German's effort was 0.188 seconds off Hamilton's pace.

Nico Rosberg is fourth in the other Mercedes, with Paul Di Resta fifth and Jenson Button, who drove to victory from pole position last year, making it three British drivers in the top six.

The Lotuses of Romain Grosjean and Kimi Raikkonen are seventh and eighth, respectively, followed by the two Ferraris of Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa.

Reigning world champion Vettel tops the drivers’ standings with 172 points, while Raikkonen is second on 134 and Alonso third on 133.
