MOSCOW, May 25 (RIA Novosti) – Four crew members captured by pirates off Equatorial Guinea’s coast have been released a month after their container vessel was attacked, a news report said on Saturday citing the management company.

Hamburg-based shipping firm Leonhardt and Blumberg said that all four men were released on Thursday, including a Russian, two Ukrainians and one citizen from the Pacific island nation of Kiribati, the Associated Press reported. The report said that the company issued its statement on late Friday without specifying the circumstances of the release following intense negotiations.

The Liberia-flagged Hansa Marburg vessel was attacked some 130 miles (210 kilometers) southwest of the Port of Malabo, Equatorial Guinea on April 22.
