MOSCOW, May 18 (R-Sport) - Sweden reached the world hockey championship final on Saturday as two goals from Dallas Stars wing Loui Eriksson propelled the eight-time champion to a 3-0 semifinal win over an ill-disciplined Finland.

Sweden went ahead at 10:33 in the first period with Ilari Melart off the ice for cross-checking; Eriksson converting Henrik Sedin's assist.

The same combination struck at 36:13 in the second - and on another powerplay as Petri Kontiola sat out his second penalty of the period for holding.

Sedin struck a third, empty-net goal 23 seconds from the buzzer in the third period to seal the result and 25th final appearance.

Sweden had reached the semifinals by edging Canada 3-2 in the quarterfinals in Stockholm on Thursday, while Finland had ousted Slovakia 4-3 in Helsinki.

The United States, who dumped the Russians out of the competition with a humiliating 8-3 rout, take on the undefeated Swiss in Saturday's other semifinal.

Finland awaits the loser for Sunday's bronze medal game.
