HAVANA, April 14 (RIA Novosti) - Cuban footballer Erick Hernandez set a world record on Saturday by bouncing a ball with his head 350 times in a minute and devoted it to a Venezuelan presidential candidate, Juventud Rebelde reported.

The record, if approved by representatives of the Guinness World Records, will beat the previous achievement of 341 hits in one minute, established by China’s Gao Chong in November 2007.

“With this attempt, I would like to show my support Nicolas Maduro in Sunday’s presidential elections in Venezuela,” he said.

Hernandez has also broke several other ball control records, including keeping a ball aloft for 19 hours and 10 minutes by hitting it some 111,000 times and controlling the ball with his knees for 1 hour 28 minutes.
