The “Earth Hour” is the world’s largest environmental initiative held by the WWF annually. At 8:30 p.m. Moscow time on March 23, the action participants that included both state and commercial organizations and ordinary citizens switched off their lights and electrical devices for one hour.

During the action, the illumination of RIA Novosti’s main building in Zubovsky Bulvar was switched off for one hour.

In 2013, the “Earth Hour” action was held in Russia for the fifth time, with RIA Novosti Media Group acting as its main information partner and active participant. During the action, the illumination of RIA Novosti’s main building in Zubovsky Bulvar was switched off for one hour.
