MOSCOW, December 16 (R-Sport) – Dynamo Moscow are looking to offload out-of-favor Bosnian international midfielder Zvjezdan Misimovic in the winter transfer window, the club’s sporting director Dmitry Galyamin told R-Sport on Sunday.

The playmaker has made only one assist in 13 appearances this season and was last seen on the pitch in a 2-0 defeat to Anzhi Makhachkala in early October.

“He didn’t make it into the main squad,” Galyamin said. “So there is no point in keeping such a player on the bench, let alone the stands.”

Misimovic moved to Dynamo in 2011 from Galatasaray and played regularly under Sergey Silkin last season. But after Romanian coach Dan Petrescu was put in charge in August, the 30 year old has seen only 50 minutes of action in the Russian Premier League.

Misimovic won the German Bundesliga with Wolfsburg in 2009 and has 71 caps and 23 goals for Bosnia.

Other fringe players to be put up for sale include Belarusian winger Pavel Nekhaychik and Dutch midfielder Otman Bakkal, who joined Dynamo in July, Galyamin said.

Also, Romanian defensive midfielder Adrian Ropotan will not be granted a contract extension beyond the end of the year, he said.

Dynamo stand ninth in the league table with 30 points from 19 games.
