MOSCOW, December 6 (RIA Novosti) - Four people have been found dead and seven are missing after two ships collided in the North Sea, British broadcaster BBC reported on Wednesday citing coast guard officials.

The Baltic Ace, registered in the Bahamas and carrying cars from Zeebrugge, Belgium, to Kotka, Finland, sank fast after colliding with Cyprus-registered container ship, the Corvus J, bound from Grangemouth, Scotland, to Antwerp, Belgium.

Out of the 24 Baltic Ace crew, 13 have been rescued and seven are still missing. A spokesman for the Dutch coast guard said helicopters and two navy patrol ships would keep searching for the missing sailors through the night.

The Corvus J did not sink.
