MOSCOW, November 23 (R-Sport) - FC Rostov cruised to a 2-0 home win over a poor Mordovia Saransk side on Friday and extended their unbeaten run to three games.

Rostov stay 12th in the Russian Premier League, while Mordovia are last in the 16-team division, four points from safety after a sixth straight loss.

Vitaly Dyakov opened the scoring from the penalty spot on the stroke of half-time after Mordovia’s Croatian midfielder Tomislav Dujmovic brought down Rostov winger Timofei Kalachev.

The second came on 81 minutes when veteran forward Dmitry Kirichenko scored from a cross by Edgaras Cesnauskis.

Mordovia finished the match with ten men after Roman Kontsedalov was shown a straight red card on 75 minutes for a brutal aerial kick on Alexander Sheshukov.

Mordovia have been without a permanent coach since parting company with Fyodor Shcherbachenko on Monday.

On Saturday, the league's 17th round of games continues with Terek Grozny hosting strugglers Alania Vladikavkaz and FC Krasnodar visiting Lokomotiv Moscow.

Sunday sees a Moscow derby as Spartak play Dynamo, before FC Kuban take on Krylya Sovetov.

Monday pits Amkar Perm against Anzhi Makhachkala and Rubin Kazan against FC Volga, while leaders CSKA Moscow travel to scandal-hit Zenit St. Petersburg for a game set to be played behind closed doors.
