Spartak Moscow's owner vowed Tuesday that coach Unai Emery will see out his two-year contract at the club despite a string of disappointing results.

MOSCOW, November 20 (R-Sport) - Spartak Moscow's owner vowed Tuesday that coach Unai Emery will see out his two-year contract at the club despite a string of disappointing results.

Owner Leonid Fedun made the announcement following Wednesday's 3-0 home defeat to Barcelona, which dashed the Russian side's hopes of advancing to the Champions League knockout stages, leaving them bottom of Group G.

"He has a contract for two years. He will work these two years," Fedun said.

The Russian media had recently speculated that Andrei Kobelev could be in line to replace Emery after Kobelev resigned as coach of struggling Krylya Sovetov last week.

Emery replaced Valery Karpin in June and has led Spartak to nine wins in 16 matches in the Russian Premier League, with the team now in fifth position, ten points off CSKA Moscow's lead.

Emery led Valencia to back-to-back third-place finishes in 2010 and 2011 in the Spanish Primera Liga, both times finishing far behind the dominant duo of Real Madrid and Barcelona.
