MOSCOW, November 15 (R-Sport) – Metallurg Novokuznetsk beat Amur Khabarovsk 4-2 in the KHL on Thursday for its fourth-successive win.
All the action came in the final period, with Metallurg going three up courtesy of Dmitry Kagarlitsky, Dmitry Megalinsky and Alexei Efimov.
Amur replied in the dying minutes as Andrey Stepanov and Juha-Pekka Hytonen both netted their efforts, but Anton Lazarev sealed the points for Metallurg with an empty-net goal.
Metallurg is fifth in the East, ten points behind leader Traktor Chelyabinsk, while Amur is second from bottom in 11th and on a five-game losing streak.
The game featured the league's two easternmost teams.
