Andy Murray came back from a set down to beat Tomas Berdych in the opening match of the $8.85 million World Tour Finals in London on Monday.

MOSCOW, November 5 (R-Sport) – Andy Murray came back from a set down to beat Tomas Berdych in the opening match of the $8.85 million World Tour Finals in London on Monday.

The 25-year-old Scot took it 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 to bring their head-to-head record to four wins apiece.

Last year’s semifinalist Berdych had to save to save seven break points to take the first set before the U.S. Open champion surged back in the second with an early break.

Murray, the world No. 3, surged to victory in the decider, winning all of his first-serve points.

Later Monday, world No. 1 Novak Djokovic will face France’s Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the second Group A match.

Group B, consisting of six-time champion Roger Federer, Spain’s David Ferrer, Juan Martin del Potro of Argentina and Serbia’s Janko Tipsarevic will kick off on Tuesday.
