A major car accident took place on Minskaya Street on September 22, when a drunk driver crashed his car into a bus stop, killing seven people, including five teenagers. The children, from a care home for children with disabilities, and two teachers, were returning from an awards ceremony at the Sixth Moscow Festival of Arts and Crafts. The festival, My Vmeste! (We Are Together), ran through July and August 2012. The driver was detained on his release from hospital.
