World. No. 45 Martin Klizan of Slovakia upset Russia’s Mikhail Youzhny to reach the final of the St. Petersburg Open on Saturday.

In a three-and-a-half-hour thriller, third seed Klizan pulled off a 6-7(11), 6-4, 7-6(3) victory over first seed Youzhny, who is ranked 16 places higher than the Slovakian.

In Sunday's final, Klizan is to face Fabio Fognini of Italy, who beat Spanish underdog Daniel Gimeno-Traver 6-3, 6-4 in their semifinal earlier on Saturday.

Both players are searching for their first title on the ATP tour.

The prize fund for the tournament is over $410,000.
