The U.S. pair of Mike Bryan and Lisa Raymond defeated Germany’s Sabine Lisicki and Christopher Kas to win the bronze medal of the Olympic mixed doubles tournament on Sunday.

Raymond and Bryan, who won the gold medal in the men’s doubles with his twin brother Bob on Saturday, secured a 6-3, 4-6, 10-4 win on the last-set tie-break.

The 38-year-old Raymond took her second chance of the day to take an Olympic medal after losing in the women’s doubles bronze match earlier.

"It feels awesome," Raymond said. "Today I lost a tough match earlier in the day and Mikey, as soon as we got out there his energy was great, it's so contagious."

The gold went to the Belarusian pair of Victoria Azarenka and Max Mirnyi who beat Britain’s Andy Murray and Laura Robson.
