A first-half goal from ex-Everton midfielder Diniyar Bilyaletdinov inspired Spartak Moscow to crush their capital city rivals Dynamo 4-0 on Sunday.

Bilyaletdinov opened the scoring in the season’s first Moscow derby on 23 minutes, picking up a pass from Ari and hit a weak shot that Dynamo goalkeeper Anton Shunin allowed to dribble under his arm.

At the beginning of the second half, Dynamo conceded a second when Argentinian defender Nicolas Pareja squeezed the ball inside the post from a free kick awarded for a foul on Bilyaletdinov.

Ex-Germany striker Kevin Kuranyi hit the back of the net for Dynamo early in the second half, but it was disallowed for a disputed offside.

Jano Ananidze knocked in the third after sprinting onto a defence-spliting pass from Artyom Dzyuba.

Dynamo’s Ecuadorian midfielder Christian Noboa spent only 20 minutes on the pitch before being sent off in the 76th minute for collecting two bookings.

Rafael Carioca finished the thrashing with a goal in stoppage time.

Earlier Sunday, Georgy Gabulov gave Anzhi a 1-0 victory against Amkar Perm and French defender Steeve Joseph-Reinette headed Krylya Sovetov to a 2-1 comeback against 10-man FC Kuban.

On Saturday Sergei Semak scored two goals and won a penalty as Zenit St. Petersburg demolished CSKA Moscow 3-1 and newly-promoted Alania Vladikavkaz pulled off an unlikely 5-0 thrashing of nine-man Terek Grozny.

FC Krasnodar stunned Lokomotiv Moscow 3-1 in Saturday’s final game.

Mordovia Saransk won Friday's only game, thrashing FC Rostov 3-0.
