Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday praised his meeting with British Prime Minister David Cameron and set an ambitious task to more than double bilateral trade.
“We talked of political contacts and economic relations in a very frank and positive manner,” Putin, who was in London on a one-day visit to hold talks with Cameron and watch judo competitions, told journalists.
“But we have a small trade turnover, just $21 billion, compared to $72 billion with Germany,” Putin said.
“We can reach at least 50,” he said, adding that the two countries could cooperate in the nuclear power industry and space sphere.
