Russian President Vladimir Putin said Russia and Indonesia should work on new projects to expand cooperation.

“Despite difficulties in the global economy, our relations have been developing rather successfully,” Putin said during talks with his Indonesian counterpart Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

“We have rather confidential relations,” Putin said. “Ministers and heads of relevant departments should formulate additional ideas for the development of our trade and economic ties.”

Yudhoyono agreed with Putin.
