France must banish their 2-0 Euro 2012 defeat to Sweden from their minds if they are to stand a chance against reigning champion Spain in the quarterfinal, goalkeeper Hugo Lloris said Wednesday.

A wonder strike by Zlatan Ibrahimovic and a Sebastian Larsson goal on the break in injury time condemned the French to second place in Group D in Kiev on Tuesday.

It rounded off France's group campaign, which began with a 1-1 draw with England and followed a 2-1 win over co-hosts Ukraine.

"Sweden deserved to win," said Lloris, team captain. "We need to forget about this game, concentrate on the one positive, that is we've qualified," he added.

He said his team was wary of the "terrific test" posed by Spain.

"We don't want these same regrets finishing that game."

The Lyon goalkeeper, 25, has 36 caps for his country.
