Latvia forward Edgars Gauracs scored a brace to help his country to a 5-0 thrashing of neighbors Lithuania in a friendly Friday.
CSKA Moscow midfielder Aleksandrs Cauna opened the scoring with a 14th-minute penalty before Gauracs, who plays for Yenisei Krasnoyarsk in the Russian first division, doubled the lead.
Alexei Vishnyakov made it three just before half time, and Gauracs made sure of the win on 47 minutes.
Defender Vitaly Smirnov put Latvia five up with 10 minutes to go.
The game, part of the Baltics Cup played out between those states, was played in the Estonian city of Voru.
It was a resounding victory over a team that Russia failed to break down on Tuesday in Nyon, Switzerland. That game finished 0-0.
Russia plays Italy in Zurich later Friday in the teams' last Euro 2012 warm-up match.
