CSKA Moscow right-back Kirill Nababkin told RIA Novosti on Friday he was not expecting a Russia call-up for Euro 2012.

The 25 year old was not included in Dick Advocaat's provisional squad, but injuries and illness have seen his CSKA teammate Vasily Berezutsky and Lokomotiv Moscow right-back Roman Shishkin drop out.

Advocaat announced the final 23-man squad after Friday's 1-1 draw against Uruguay in a Euro 2012 warm-up, dropping Spartak Moscow striker Artem Dzyuba and Lokomotiv Moscow midfielder Magomed Ozdoev to make room for Nababkin.

"After the league championship I have relaxed in Moscow and never suspected that the situation might turn out this way. I'm so glad. I'm ready to play for the national team, I'm match-fit," Nababkin told RIA Novosti.

Nababkin, 25, has played 47 times for CSKA since joining from now-dissolved FC Moscow in 2010. He has ten appearances for the under-21 national side but has never turned out for the senior team.

Russia will play Lithuania and Italy in two further warm-up games, both in Switzerland, before traveling to Poland for their Euro 2012 group stage matches.

Russia start their campaign June 8 against the Czech Republic in Wroclaw before traveling to Warsaw to face co-host Poland on June 12 and Greece four days later.
