German striker Kevin Kuranyi will definitely stay with Dynamo Moscow for next season, his agent Jurgen Knappenberger told RIA Novosti on Thursday.

German striker Kevin Kuranyi will definitely stay with Dynamo Moscow for next season, his agent Jurgen Knappenberger told RIA Novosti on Thursday.

Kuranyi signed a contract extension in November but there has been persistent speculation that he has fallen out with Dynamo coach Sergei Silkin after a 12-game goal drought.

When asked whether Kuranyi would stay, Knappenberger said: "Of course, why not. He has extended his contract till 2015."

Kuranyi moved to Dynamo from German side Schalke in 2010 on a three-year contract and has scored 22 goals in 57 appearances since then, and signed an extension in November.

According to Jurgen Knappenberger, Kuranyi will not change his mind if Silkin, whose contract with Dynamo expires this month, remains in charge.

“No, he will definitely stay. Kevin has no problem at all with Sergei Silkin, he likes the coach.”

Recent comments by Kuranyi about the possibility of returning to VfB Stuttgart, his first club, do not reflect his immediate plans, the agent said.

“He said that that in a couple of interviews, but he also said 'After my career or at the end of my career', you know," Knappenberger said.

"Stuttgart is his hometown, his family lives here and the family of the wife and that is the reason he wants to come back. Someday, not now.”

Dynamo mounted a charge for second place in the Russian Premier League and Champions League qualification for much of 2011-12, but finished fourth after a late slump in form, and will now play in next season's Europa League.

Brazilian-born Kuranyi, 30, has scored 19 goals in 52 appearances for the German national team, most recently in 2008.
