MOSCOW, May 3 (RIA Novosti) - FC Tom Tomsk lost 1-0 at Krylya Sovetov on Thursday, condemning the Siberian side to relegation from the Russian Premier League.

Krylya midfielder Anton Bober headed the only goal of the game after just six minutes.

After failing to break the hosts' defenses, the visitors' misery was compounded on 79 minutes when midfielder Denis Boyarintsev was sent off for two yellow cards earned in quick succession for arguing with the referee and then the linesman.

Tomsk are second-last in the league on 33 points, unable to catch FC Volga on 41 points with two games left.

It is a suitable end to a nightmare season for Tomsk, who were on the verge of liquidation before Prime Minister Vladimir Putin ordered state companies Gazprom Neft and Rosneft to prop them up in March.

They also set an unenviable top-flight record of 12 consecutive games without a goal between July 30 and November 5.

Tomsk won promotion to the top flight in 2004, and have a best finish of eighth, achieved in 2006 and 2010.

Bottom side Spartak Nalchik were relegated last week.
