Serbian cyclist Ivan Stevic won a tight Sochi Grand Prix on Sunday, beating Katusha rider Dmitry Kosyakov by just 9 seconds.

The win was Salcano Arnavutkoy rider Stevic’s second in international competition since he saw two years of result wiped out for doping offences in 2010.

Third place went to Ukraine’s Anatoly Pakhtusov, riding for the ISD-Lampre Continental team.

Katusha, Russia’s premier cycling team, won the team event, with the Rusvelo team of Russian Olympic hopeful track cyclists coming in sixth.

The 862-kilometer Sochi Grand Prix, which started Friday, is a second-tier stop on the cycling tour, taking in the Black Sea resorts of Sochi, Anapa, Nebug, and also the regional center of Krasnodar.
