Spartak Moscow midfielder Diniyar Bilyaletdinov could return to full training in ten days’ time after breaking a bone in his foot, he said Thursday.

This would be a quick return for the ex-Everton player, after club officials earlier suggested he may be out until early May after sustaining a partial fracture of his metatarsal bone.

“I hope that in ten days’ time I will already be training with the main group,” Bilyaletdinov said.

This would put the Russian in line for a return when Spartak host Guus Hiddink’s Anzhi on April 22.

Players with metatarsal fractures often suffer repeat injuries, but Bilyaletdinov said doctors had told him this was unlikely as the bone was not fully broken.

The Russia international has not scored in four appearances for Spartak since joining from English Premier League side Everton in January.

He has scored six goals in 46 appearances for the Russian national team, and played in every game during Russia’s charge to the semifinals of Euro 2008.
