At least six died and 17 were injured as part of a bridge under construction tumbled in northern India, the Xinhua agency said citing police.
The majority of the victims are construction workers, the agency said, adding the incident took place in the state of Uttarakhand early on Sunday.
Police said preliminary investigation showed that the bridge could have collapsed due to the poor quality of the construction materials.
