The Trans-Siberian railway has resumed service after two freight trains collided in the early hours of March 11 in Russia’s far east Jewish Autonomous Region, local media reported on Sunday with a reference to the regional branch of the Emergencies Ministry.
Twenty-nine carriages and one locomotive engine were derailed and two people were slightly injured, affecting about half a kilometer of the railway.
The Russian Railways company said the incident was caused by faulty wheel.
