On March 11, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev tested the track on the Lago-Naki Plateau.
Lago-Naki, or the Lago-Naki Plateau is a plateau in Western Caucausus at a height of 2,200 meters, famous for its alpine meadows. Almost the entire plateau’s territory is a part of the Maikop district of the Republic of Adygea, small areas in the northern part of the plateau are included in the Apsheron district of the Krasnodar Territory.

The president went skiing and wished Governor Alexander Tkachyov success in the development of the Krasnodar Territory. He also proposed the creation of resorts for the middle class in the region.
“The Lago-Naki Plateau is not merely a beautiful place. There are excellent mountains and high-quality snow. It is our priority number one in resort development. We need to lay on gas and electricity there. This work is underway and we hope that the resort will host the first tourists by 2015,” Alexander Tkachyov said.
