The head of a regional anti-monopoly department in central Russia has been seriously wounded in an attack by unidentified gunmen, a police source said on Monday.
Alexander Borovkov, the head of the anti-monopoly department of Ivanovo Region, was hospitalized in critical condition after sustaining gunshot wounds to the leg and stomach.
Borovkov, 51, was attacked near his place of work, a spokeswoman for the Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service, Irina Kashunina, said.
