A man in Australia was arrested on Sunday for having 12 passengers in his Holden car, the local Adelaide Now edition said.

Police in Melbourne stopped the car that they thought was moving strangely. They discovered nine people squeezed at the back seat and another person next to the driver, while two more passengers escaped while police were walking toward the overloaded vehicle.

The driver, 34-year-old resident of Monbulk, Melbourne suburb, had been stripped of his driving license for violating traffic rules. Nor did he have car documents on him.

The driver said there was nothing to worry about as none had been hurt during the crammed ride. Holden was eventually sent to a special car park and the driver might now face charges of causing a situation dangerous to human life and for driving the car without documents, the edition said.
