A group of militant reportedly plotting a terrorist act against security officers were killed in a special operation in the Russian North Caucasus republic of Kabardino-Balkaria on Friday.
“We received information that militants were planning a major terrorist act against special forces maintaining the stability of Kabardino-Balkaria,” the National Investigation Committee said.
The militants were trapped in an apartment in the city of Tyrnyauz. The exact number killed in the operation has yet not been disclosed.
