Over 16,000 police officers, Interior Ministry troops and police helpers will ensure order at City Day celebrations in Moscow on September 3-4, a deputy head of Moscow police said.
Police Major General Vyacheslav Kozlov said police presence will be boosted at subway stations, especially in the city center.
Kozlov said operational police headquarters will be set up in all administrative districts of the city. Their task will be to coordinate police activities during the festivities.
