Russian metals tycoon Mikhail Prokhorov has announced his Pravoe Delo (Right Cause) party has ambitious plans for Russia to join the Schengen and euro zones.
“Perhaps, Mikhail Prokhorov himself has already joined the euro zone. But no one has invited our country there. Even if they invite us, that does not automatically mean we should accept this invitation,” Yuri Shuvalov, spokesman for Russia’s ruling party United Russia, commented.
“Charitably speaking, the economy of the euro zone is not ok,” Shuvalov added.
