A Russian Emergencies Ministry plane with a team of doctors on board on Saturday arrived in Turkey to evacuate a boy who got heavy injuries at a water park in Alanya.

Kirill Gudkov, 9, is unconscious for six days after he was injured at a water slides. Local doctors describe his state as critical. It is diagnosed as cerebral edema.

Right after the arrival, doctors will head for the hospital where the boy is now, Public Chamber expert Dmitry Davydenko said.

They will decide there whether to transport the child to Moscow. Most likely, the boy will be taken to Russia for further treatment, as there is no appropriate equipment to treat the trauma in the Turkish hospital.
