Australia Zoo today showed off its latest addition on Friday - an African White Rhinoceros.
Savannah was born at the zoo in April this year. She now weighs more than 130 kilogrammes (286 pounds) - that's double her birth weight.
White rhinos are one of the world's rarest animals with less than 15-thousand living on the grasslands of Africa.
The demand for rhino horn has led to dwindling numbers in the wild.
"The illegal trade in rhinoceros horn still continues. It has a medicinal value similar to Aspirin and is made out of keratin, which is the same as our hair or our fingernails. So, quite literally if you had a headache and chewed your fingernails, it would be the same medicinal effect as taking rhino horn. So, it's ridiculous," Terri Irwin told reporters.
White rhinos are said to be the most sociable of the five rhino species, but Savannah's mother showed a protective instinct - that would be frightening to most.
The baby rhino will take its place in the zoo's new African exhibit.
"Dad was so excited to one day open Africa and we are. So we're carrying on where he left off and we're very happy about that," daughter Bindi Irwin told reporters.
