Russia's ruling party needs new faces and new ideas, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said on Saturday.
"We are on the threshold of State Duma elections, which is a major political event," he said.
"In these conditions, our leading political force, United Russia, needs an inflow of new ideas, new proposals, and new faces."
Elections for the State Duma, the lower house of parliament, are due in December.
