NASA on Monday postponed the launch of its Endeavor space shuttle by 10 days after a scheduling conflict with Russia's Progress space freighter.

NASA on Monday postponed the launch of its Endeavor space shuttle by 10 days after a scheduling conflict with Russia's Progress space freighter.

NASA announced the postponement following talks with the Russian Space Agency and other space station partners over the weekend.

"The delay removes a scheduling conflict with a Russian Progress supply vehicle scheduled to launch April 27 and arrive at the station April 29," NASA said on its website.

"The launch of space shuttle Endeavor's STS-134 mission [has been targeted] for 3:47 p.m. EDT on Friday, April 29."

The exact time of Endeavor's liftoff will be set on April 19.

Endeavor will deliver a $2 billion particle detector to be mounted outside the ISS. This will be Endeavour's final flight and the next-to-last shuttle mission.
