Any state taking part in the international operation in Libya is free to lodge their complaints about the operation's command to a contact group, French Defense Minister Gerard Longuet said on Thursday.

Any state taking part in the international operation in Libya is free to lodge their complaints about the operation's command to a contact group, French Defense Minister Gerard Longuet said on Thursday.

"If a coalition member feels that the command of the operation does not correspond to its values or the UN resolution, it can address a contact group. This is a real-time appeal structure. But no such complaints have been received at the moment," Longuet told a news conference in Paris.

He said that combined forces of the United States, France and Britain make up 80% of all resources engaged in the operation.

The UN Security Council resolution 1973, adopted on March 17, imposed a no-fly zone over Libya and authorized measures to protect civilians from Gaddafi's forces, but stopped short of authorizing ground operations in the North African country.

A total of 13 countries are carrying out a military operation against Libya in line with the resolution. On Sunday, NATO began taking command of the mission from the United States.
