The pilots fly highly maneuverable multi-purpose Su-27-P and Su-27-UB Flanker fighters solo and in formation.

The team was established on April 5, 1991, at the 237th Guards Proskurov Air Force Regiment, comprising the best pilots of the Kubinka Air Base outside Moscow. The pilots fly highly maneuverable multi-purpose Su-27-P and Su-27-UB Flanker fighters solo and in formation.
