A Japanese woman described on Sunday the moment a tsunami wave swept her daughter out of her grasp. Etsuko Oyama from Rikusentakata, a port city of over 20,000 virtually wiped out by the tsunami, said that she desperately hoped her missing daughter is alive somewhere. "I grabbed something tightly, holding my daughter's hand but I lost my grip when I was swept away in the debris and water," she told Japanese broadcaster NHK. Natori was another part of northeastern Japan badly hit by the earthquake and subsequent tsunami.
