One terrorist was killed and another arrested in Iran's western province of Kurdistan on Saturday, national media reported.
Kurdistan Deputy Governor Iraj Hassanzadeh said the terrorists belonged to the Salafi extremist group, Mehr News Agency reported.
He said the detained terrorist confessed that his group was responsible for the killing of four rangers in the provincial capital of Sanandaj last Friday.
Hassanzadeh said the terrorist group was "neutralized" by Iranian security and intelligence forces.
